The eye area is the most sensitive part of the face so you may want build an eye-care routine into your daily skin care regimen. The skin that surrounds the eye is very thin and delicate, and most of the time is among the first to show signs of aging.
First of all, your face needs to be perfectly clean. When applying the cream you should aim for the size of pencil eraser. You can apply it with a cotton swab or your finger. Start underneath the eye, above your cheekbone and just under the tear duct ; work your way from the inside bottom lid to the outside bottom corner. Continue with a dotting motion, and apply the eye cream along the length of the top eyelid, the crease line of the eyelid, and the area underneath your eyebrow.
Finally, tap the areas dotted by cream with a light gentle motion to help the eye cream absorb into the skin. It needs time to fully absorb into your skin, you need to wait approximately 15 minutes before applying anything else to the eye area.
For more effective results, store your cream in a cool and dry place, such as the refrigerator! Cold substance tend to reduce the puffiness of the eyes.
Am using the Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream: it is super-gentle, non-greasy and moisturizes well. It makes my skin feel really soft and look smooth. It provides an excellent base for the concealer too. This cream won’t reduce dark circles though !
